Jadon Sancho has become a thorn in Manchester United’s side.
United have been trying to get rid of Sancho since the end of 2022 after he publicly fell out with the then-manager Erik ten Hag.
Borussia Dortmund handed him a lifeline, but only on a temporary basis. The Englishman returned to Old Trafford in the summer of 2024 and was immediately shipped out on loan to Chelsea in a deal that included an obligation to buy.
However, Chelsea instead paid a penalty fee to back out of their agreement. Once again, Sancho is United’s problem.
Juventus keen on signing Sancho
This summer, Juventus have emerged as his strongest suitors. However, their financial predicament is making any deal difficult.
According to Fichajes, Juventus have reached an “agreement in principle” with the 25-year-old.
It is claimed the England international is willing to “significantly reduce” his wages to secure a move to Turin.
However, Juve are waiting to trim their attacking department and improve their financial situation before striking a deal for Sancho.
Timothy Weah is headed to Olympique de Marseille. It is suggested that his exit could accelerate the Old Lady’s efforts.
Dortmund in the race to sign Sancho
Dortmund are back in the frame for Sancho, with the club’s hierarchy open to signing him for a third time.
The Spanish outlet report that the Bundesliga giants have “fully entered the race” for Sancho, having already initiated contact with his camp.
It is understood that Dortmund are “preparing a formal proposal” for the winger, who first left the Black and Yellow in 2021, joining the Red Devils in a deal worth £73 million.
Now, United reportedly value him in the region of £15m. He has less than 12 months remaining on his current deal at Old Trafford.
Meanwhile, the Mancunians are pushing to sign Benjamin Sesko from RB Leizpig ahead of Newcastle United to revamp their attack.
