United make move to sign explosive €45m winger who has blown away scouts – report

Manchester United are set to miss out on Bournemouth attacker Antoine Semenyo. United underlined their intention to bolster their attack by going all out to sign the Bournemouth attacker, who is available for £65m.  However, the Red Devils will have to look elsewhere for a new versatile forward, as Semenyo prefers to play under Pep Guardiola at Manchester City. It looks like United are doing exactly that. Manchester United closely monitoring Bazoumana Toure According to CaughtOffside, United have started “initial background checks” and “data-driven scouting” on Hoffenheim winger Bazoumana Toure. Toure, 19, is “rapidly emerging as one of the most closely monitored young attackers in Europe”. United are joined by the likes of Arsenal, Brentford and Newcastle United in the battle for his signature heading into the winter window. He is capable of playing as a left-sided winger and wing-back.  The report states: “Scouts from England have been particularly impressed by Touré’s ability to operate in transition-heavy systems.”  Hoffenheim prefer summer sale United are expected to be in front of the queue in the race to sign Toure. Hoffenheim, who signed the electric forward from Hammarby IF early this year, value him between €44-45m. The Bundesliga outfit are thought to be reluctant to part ways with Toure in January and “the most realistic scenario, according to sources close to the situation, is increased contact in January rather than a completed transfer.” However, United’s approach for Semenyo suggests the Premier League giants are in a financial position to test Hoffenheim’s resolve in January.  AS Roma are working on securing the services of Joshua Zirkzee next month, but the Dutchman’s exit may hinge on United finding a replacement.
