Manchester United loanee Antony has shared his delight after Real Betis secured a dramatic 2-1 comeback victory against Real Madrid in La Liga on Saturday.
The Brazilian winger played the full 90 minutes after successfully appealing the red card he received during last weekend’s clash against Getafe.
Initially shown a straight red for a challenge on Juan Iglesias, replays later suggested that Antony had attempted to minimize contact, leading to the club’s successful appeal.
Antony has made a strong start to life in Spain.
Since arriving in the January transfer window, he has contributed two goals and two assists in five league matches under Manuel Pellegrini.
The Andalusian side found themselves trailing early after Brahim Diaz opened the scoring for Madrid in the 10th minute.
However, goals from Johnny Cardoso and former Los Blancos midfielder Isco turned the game around, handing Betis a crucial victory in front of over 50,000 fans at the Benito Villamarín Stadium.
Following the game, Antony took to Instagram to share Betis’ full-time graphic and express his appreciation for the club’s supporters.

With Antony growing in confidence and form, the remainder of the season could be exciting for the Brazilian and his temporary club.
It is to be seen if the Brazilian winger is part of Amorim’s plans come the summer.
His technical prowess, and selflessness could benefit United in certain situations when they need to keep hold of the ball. The final call will be made after the end of the season, taking the entire squad into consideration.
