Ornstein revealed that Tottenham have opened talks with Newcastle in an effort to try and strike an agreement for the Italy international. Discussions are also ongoing with the player’s camp regarding personal terms. Manchester City are another party eyeing Tonali and have also reached out to his representatives, although they have yet to formally express their interest to Newcastle. Another report covered by The Peoples Person relayed that United are among a number of suitors that have enquired about the 26-year-old. As the situation develops, journalist Ben Jacobs has confirmed that Tottenham tabled an opening offer for Tonali, which was turned down by Newcastle.
