United “confident” prolific Champions League forward will join Carrick’s side in €95m deal – report

Manchester United look unrecognisable under interim head coach Michael Carrick, who has instilled confidence and calmness into the squad. The Red Devils, who struggled to win back-to-back league matches during Ruben Amorim’s reign, have now won five of their last six. In fact, United have won more points in 2026 than any other Premier League side. The incredible run of form has also put United in a strong position to secure a Champions League spot. The Mancunians have reportedly “prepared the financial reports that will support a proposal of around €170 million” for the Newcastle duo.
