Manchester United’s Under-21s will kick off the Premier League 2 season against Middlesbrough.
Travis Binnion’s youngsters will open the campaign with a trip to the Riverside Stadium to face the north-east side on Monday 18 August, with kick-off at 19:00 BST.
A first home outing will come against Norwich City, later that week, with high-profile clashes against Manchester City and Liverpool to follow.
As with last season, the format involves only playing each team once, with play-offs taking place at the end of the term, and the final due to be staged on Saturday 16 May.

United played Rochdale in a pre-season friendly at the weekend, in memory of Joe Thompson.
