Bournemouth midfielder Tyler Adams has recently revealed what his stance would be on moving to Man Utd. The Daily Mail have reported that the Red Devils (along with Liverpool and Chelsea) are tracking the American international ahead of the summer transfer window. Adams was speaking on the Men In Blazers podcast last week when he commented on playing at the Theatre of Dreams: “You dream of nights playing at Old Trafford against Man United. Those are the biggest games you can play in the Premier League.” Buy some Old Trafford inspired gifts from Red Bubble here. Bournemouth have set their asking price for Adams The Cherries would reportedly sell the 27-year-old for around £40m, which seems a pretty reasonable figure, considering the current market for midfielders. There is an important caveat that will make United cautious about pursuing Adams. He is especially prone to injury, having spent 432 days on the treatment table since moving to England in the summer of 2022. The American has sustained hamstring, back and muscular problems in recent years, having also been sidelined with a knee medial ligament tear for two months this season. Man Utd may pursue other targets At the moment, it appears as if Michael Carrick’s team are keeping a watching brief on Adams, and no decision has been made on whether to make a formal bid. His price tag makes him an attractive target compared to other options such as Nottingham Forest’s Elliot Anderson, Crystal Palace’s Adam Wharton and Newcastle’s Sandro Tonali, who could all cost around £100m. United will have to put contingency plans in place in case they don’t qualify for the Champions League. Adams’ name may be under consideration for that reason. Want more news on Man Utd?
