Man United pair Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia are both contemplating leaving Old Trafford for the Middle East, according to multiple reports.
It is believed that Shaw and Malacia are expected to get the chance to make the switch to Saudi Arabia over the coming weeks.
The Sun report that Shaw is “ready to quit” after 11 years with the Red Devils. Although he has two years remaining on his current deal, he knows his time at the club is coming to an end.
The 30-year-old is already behind Patrick Dorgu in the pecking order and the arrival of Diego Leon from Cerro Porteno could limit his game time further.
Shaw is said to be willing to listen to offers from Saudi, although The Sun suggest that his departure may only be finalised in January.
What is the situation with Malacia?
The Dutchman is a member of the so-called ‘Bomb Squad’ who have been asked to train away from the first-team squad by head coach Ruben Amorim.
Voetbal International claim that “well-informed sources” have told them that Malacia has received a “concrete offer” from a Saudi Arabian team on Friday. He has also received enquiries from “several” European clubs.
Will Man United bring in a replacement?
With Dorgu and Leon part of the senior squad, and with Diogo Dalot also being able to provide cover, there is no immediate need to sign a new left wingback.
However, there were reports earlier this month that the Red Devils were interested in Pervis Estupinan prior to his move from Brighton to AC Milan. It indicates that the club may look to bring in a more experienced defender on the left flank if the budget permits.
