“Time runs out”: Major Man United target urged to make up mind over future by rival for his signature

Galatasaray vice-president, Abdullah Kavukcu, has claimed that Manchester United target Victor Osimhen must decide his future rapidly.

The Nigerian is one of the most lethal strikers in world football and numerous teams, including United, would love to sign him.

He is currently owned by SSC Napoli but enjoyed an incredibly fruitful time on loan at Galatasaray last season.

There have been conflicting reports on United’s interest as some reports have them as “key suitors” for the forward.

Others have suggested teams like Chelsea and Liverpool are ahead in the race but it has been suggested that Galatasaray cannot meet Osimhen’s release clause of €75 million.

Galatasaray’s vice-president Abdullah Kavukcu has been speaking on the topic of Osimhen’s future and has suggested the forward must make up his mind soon.

In an interview relayed by CalcioNapoli1926, he claimed that “Osimhen must decide as soon as possible.”

He explained that while the club has been happy to give him time, owing to the fact, “he has a family” but warned that “time runs out.”

Outlining the club’s commitment to the forward he stated, “we made a much higher offer than other European clubs and at the moment we are not negotiating other strikers.”

He elaborated, “we are not thinking about plan B, we want Osimhen. We have already spoken with Napoli.”

Finally the vice-president tried to sell his project to him by claiming that their objective was “to build a team that can compete all over the world, not just in Turkey.”

If a deal for Osimhen can’t be done, United are also reported to be keen on strikers Viktor Gyokeres and Hugo Ekitike. Both command high fees and have their own complexities to solve to get a deal over the line, however.

Alex is a huge Manchester United fan, inspired by greats of his homeland such as George Best, Harry Gregg and Norman Whiteside. Proud owner of such niche shirts such as Kleberson, Eric Djemba-Djemba and Gary Neville. Grew up pretending to be Ruud van Nistelrooy and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in the back garden, with little success.
