Three years of Casemiro at United

Three years since signing for the Reds from Real Madrid, Casemiro is loving life at Manchester United.

A serial winner, the Brazilian was unveiled at Old Trafford on 22 August 2022, striding out onto the famous turf in an all-black suit to receive the adulation from a support who he has come to adore.

Always set to be a fan favourite due to his combative nature and ability to find significant goals at crucial times, Casemiro reciprocated the love and says United’s fanbase continues to surprise him.

Reflecting on his time at the club in conversation with United Review, our no.18 took a moment to consider how his relationship with the fans has changed since that first day in M16.

“I feel it [the magic] more every time,” he said.

“Talking about the last season, it wasn’t so good, compared to what we want, certainly in the Premier League.

“In the Europa League, we were clearly much better, but the fans gave us more. They gave us even more positivity to us. They helped us even more.

“So I sincerely believe that in my career I’ve never seen a support like this. When you’re losing a game, they support you more, they help you more. They surprise me more every day, in every game, both on and off the pitch, in terms of helping us on the pitch when things aren’t going our way.”
