Saudi Pro League clubs were ready to offer him astronomical wages that Manchester United could never really match. Despite those offers, Fernandes rejected the opportunity to move to Saudi Arabia.With his contract at Old Trafford running until the summer of 2027 and an option to extend it by another 12 months, the Portuguese attacking midfielder decided to continue in the Premier League. He has no intention of leaving Amorim’s team before achieving the goals he set for himself upon joining the Red Devils. He even had a chat with his wife regarding his future at Old Trafford. “My wife asked me if I’d already achieved everything I wanted here, and the answer was no,” Fernandes confessed. The club made me feel part of the future plan,” His decision to turn down a move to the Middle East came at a very difficult time for the Red Devils. They had just finished 15th in the league, their lowest since 1974, and had lost the Europa League final to Tottenham. Despite things not going their way, Fernandes decided to stick around and turned down a multi-million dollar offer. While speaking about his future at Manchester United, Fernandes said: “I don’t want to talk to anyone until I’ve achieved the goals I’ve set for myself here.” The Portuguese international doesn’t intend to listen to offers until after the World Cup next summer. His agent is well aware of the player’s stance on his future and won’t engage in talks with any clubs.
