Atletico Madrid will demand €60m (£52.4m) for Man United target Conor Gallagher, according to reports in Spain.
Mundo Deportivo claim that the Red Devils, Tottenham and Crystal Palace all retain an interest in the former Chelsea player ahead of the January transfer window.
However, United supporters on X don’t think that Gallagher would be worth the outlay:
Take 20 million off and I’d still say no 😂🤷🏼♂️ he isn’t good enough for us

Man United have a genuine interest in the player
It was confirmed by reliable sources, including Fabrizio Romano, that the Red Devils made an enquiry about signing Gallagher on loan just before the transfer deadline earlier this month.
However, it is believed that Atletico had no intention of letting the England international leave on a temporary basis. It appears they will stick to that stance, and they have now set an asking price for the player.
Strengthening the midfield is a top priority
The middle of the park is a glaring weakness in Ruben Amorim’s first-team squad. It is an issue that the club is aware of based on their pursuit of Brighton’s Carlos Baleba.
However, after the Red Devils were put off by the Cameroon midfielder‘s £100m+ valuation, they opted against signing an alternative in the summer.
Gallagher was clearly looked at but not as a permanent solution, so we shall have to wait and see if that changes in the New Year.
