Alejandro Garnacho is awaiting formal approaches from his Premier League suitors in hopes of making a move as swiftly as possible.

Indeed, the exiled Manchester United starlet has garnered more interest than his fellow outcasts – such as Jadon Sancho – this summer but has yet to receive a concrete offer to leave Old Trafford.

It’s previously been confirmed by Fabrizio Romano that Garnacho has his sights set on a move within the English top flight, although Napoli are waiting in the wings to offer him a route abroad if he U-turns on his preference.

In the meantime, Aston Villa are among the sides to have established their interest in Garnacho in recent weeks. Tottenham Hotspur are also monitoring his situation, whilst Chelsea remain admirers after holding talks with his representatives back in January.

United fans pondered the prospect of a possible swap deal, which would see the Argentine join Unai Emery’s ranks and Red Devils target Ollie Watkins sent to Old Trafford in return.

It was revealed on Thursday that INEOS chiefs had held ‘fresh talks’ over Watkins as they continue their search for a prolific centre-forward. Unfortunately, though, reports followed within hours claiming Villa were unwilling to part ways with their talisman this summer under any circumstances – rendering supporters’ swap hopes near impossible this time around.

Villa may ease on their stance in the latter stages of the window if a direct replacement is lined up; Chelsea’s Nicolas Jackson, who has fallen freshly out of favour upon the arrivals of Liam Delap and Joao Pedro, has been touted as a suitable alternative.
