Manchester United have learnt that target Leroy Sane could be available for as little as £20-25 million this month.
The German winger has been linked to a move away from Bayern Munich as he is still yet to agree a new deal at the Bavarian club with his contract expiring in June this year.
It has been reported that the Germans are still trying to convince the player to stay but are also open to the fact that they may need to sell him so he doesn’t walk for free.
It has also been rumoured that United are a serious option for the winger and have already made enquiries about signing the player.
United do face intense competition from local rivals Manchester City and Liverpool however, and it has now been reported by Football Insider that the English giants now know the price that they must pay.
“Bayern Munich could accept offers of £20-25million for Man City target Leroy Sane if he does not sign a new deal,” the outlet’s sources claim.
“The 29-year-old has entered the final six months of his contract in Bavaria and can now agree a pre-contract elsewhere.”
To avoid this scenario, the Bundesliga leaders have now placed an attractive price on his head to raise some money from his sale.
Chelsea are also said to be in the mix for the former Premier League star.
Sane has scored five goals and provided one assist in 19 matches in this campaign under Vincent Kompany.
Nonetheless, Premier League teams will be well aware of what the German international can do when at his destructive best as he scored 39 goals in 135 matches at City over the course of four seasons in England.
With the likely departure of Marcus Rashford this winter, United would certainly need some sort of signing to replace him and Sane would provide ready-made Premier League experience and understanding of the league.
