Manchester United Women boss Marc Skinner has announced his travelling squad for our upcoming UEFA Women’s Champions League second-round qualifying games in Stockholm.
The Reds face PSV Eindhoven on Wednesday in our first assignment and, should we emerge victorious, we would then face the winners of local side Hammarby and Ukrainians Metalist Kharkiv in our Group 1 final, three days later.
A loss against the Dutch side will not spell the end of our European hopes, however, as the runners-up and third-placed side – decided by a play-off between the losing semi-finalists – in each mini-tournament will progress to the new Women’s Europa Cup.
Our second game will be played on Saturday, no matter the result against PSV, but kick-off may vary. Both games are set to be shown live on MUTV to subscribers in the United Kingdom, Republic of Ireland and the United States.
Marc has confirmed the 27 players he is taking to Sweden this week.
New signings Julia Zigiotti and Fridolina Rolfo have been included, while Euro winners Grace Clinton, Maya Le Tissier and Ella Toone are also present.
