Three Manchester United Women players have been named in the 2024/25 PFA WSL Team of the Year.

Phallon Tullis-Joyce, Maya Le Tissier and Jayde Riviere were recognised for their efforts in helping the Reds to third place last season, in a ceremony held at the Manchester Opera House.

Marc Skinner’s side enjoyed a stellar campaign and secured a Champions League berth in May, after drawing 2-2 at home with closest challengers Manchester City.

Our Reds attending Tuesday evening’s event.

Tullis-Joyce, in her breakthrough year following the departure of previous no.1 Mary Earps, claimed a share of the Golden Glove, after keeping 13 clean sheets across 22 games.

Captain Le Tissier earned her second inclusion in Team of the Year in three seasons, as she continued her ever-present record at the back and also contributed three goals at the other end.

Right-back Riviere was also an integral part of a defence that conceded just 16 times all season.

Congratulations to all three of our girls!

WATCH UNITED WOMEN v LIVERPOOL

After more than three months, Manchester United Women will be back playing in front of a home crowd when Skinner’s team take on Liverpool this Wednesday.

The clash with our rivals at Leigh Sports Village is our final outing of pre-season and a last opportunity for the Reds to finetune preparations before next week’s season opener in Sweden.

Kick-off on Wednesday is at 19:00 BST and fans are welcome to attend.

A limited number of tickets are available for the midweek encounter, on sale here. Entry is priced at just £4 for adults and supporters aged 16 to 20, while under 16s and over 66s can come along for just £2.

If you’re not able to get to Leigh to support the team, the game will be shown live and across the world on MUTV, ManUtd.com and in the United App for subscribers, with coverage starting at 18:55 BST.

Not subscribed? Here’s how you can sign up ahead of the match and access further benefits, including live football during the season, plus a range of original shows and boxsets.
