Reds await FA Cup draw at Old Trafford
Monday 02 December 2024 10:45
The draw for the Emirates FA Cup third round is always an exciting time in the calendar as Manchester United join the competition we won so superbly last season.
The Reds overcame Manchester City 2-1 on a memorable occasion at Wembley last May and will soon discover our opponents for the new-year date.
Old Trafford is the venue for the draw tonight (Monday) at 19:00 GMT and, of course, we’ll be fully across it on the United App and ManUtd.com.
We’ll never tire of watching Kobbie Mainoo’s FA Cup final goal against City.
Former Reds strikers Mark Hughes and Dion Dublin, scorers of our first Premier League goal and Premier League winner respectively, will be selecting the balls, with Kelly Somers presenting for the live show on BBC Two.
The 44 teams from the Premier League and Championship join the 20 sides to have progressed into this round and the games are due to be played around the weekend of 11/12 January.
Ruben Amorim’s side are ball no.23 as our new head coach eagerly anticipates his opening game in the world-famous tournament.
