Pundit Predictions: Sesko to score?

Our MUTV pundits have filed their United Predictions, in advance of Saturday’s 15:00 BST kick-off with Burnley.

Both David May and Fraizer Campbell are backing Benjamin Sesko to get off the mark for the club, tipping the Slovenia striker to open the scoring against the Clarets.

The giant centre-forward made his first start in the Carabao Cup exit at Grimsby Town, and could retain his place for our last fixture ahead of the international break.

DAVID MAY’S PREDICTIONS

United XI: Bayindir; Yoro, Maguire, De Ligt; Dalot, Fernandes (c), Casemiro, Shaw; Mbeumo, Cunha; Sesko. 

Score: 3-0.

First scorer: Benjamin Sesko.

Man of the Match: Benjamin Sesko.

Maysie believes Sesko will not only find the net but pick up the Man of the Match award for his endeavours, as United look to collect our first three points of the campaign.

The Treble-winner feels the goalscorers on Wednesday night, Bryan Mbeumo and Harry Maguire, will both start, with Altay Bayindir back between the sticks.

An interesting switch would see Luke Shaw operating at left wing-back rather than in the three-man defensive line.

FRAIZER CAMPBELL’S PREDICTIONS

United XI: Onana; Yoro, De Ligt, Shaw; Amad, Casemiro, Fernandes (c), Dorgu; Mbeumo, Sesko; Cunha.

Score: 4-0.

First scorer: Benjamin Sesko.

Man of the Match: Matheus Cunha.

Our former striker is anticipating two changes to the line-up that started the 1-1 draw at Fulham. He thinks Onana will keep his place after midweek, while Sesko will be drafted in at the expense of Mason Mount, who impressed in an unfamiliar left wing-back role when coming off the bench at Blundell Park.

Of course, this would involve Matheus Cunha operating in a no.10 slot he occupied in the cup tie, and Frazier thinks the Brazil international will be the star man on the day.
