Manchester United Women must shelve European ambitions in order to concentrate on Sunday’s Barclays WSL contest at London City Lionesses.

The Reds lost 1-0 to Brann in the first leg of the third qualifying round for the UEFA Champions League on Thursday night, with a real anticipation to try to turn things around at Leigh Sports Village next week.

However, a second league outing is quickly on the horizon, with the 12:00 BST kick-off in Bromley offering a chance to build on the opening-weekend win over Leicester City.

Check out the key info ahead of the clash at Hayes Lane…

HOW TO WATCH AND FOLLOW

The midday kick-off is being shown live on Sky Showcase and Sky Sports+ and you can also listen to radio commentary on the United App.

Liam Bradford is joined by ex-Reds keeper Siobhan Chamberlain, with Ben Ibson our matchday reporter.

Highlights will follow across our channels, after detailed analysis, reaction and updates.

TEAM NEWS

Head coach Marc Skinner has said he hopes Gabby George and recent recruit Fridolina Rolfo will be fit, after training again with the squad, while Hannah Blundell made her comeback, after giving birth to her baby daughter, in an Under-21s game against Leicester at Carrington. Rachel Williams is also pushing for a return.

Leah Galton and Simi Awujo are set to be absent again, while Jess Park seems primed for a first WSL start for the club.

London City splashed the cash over the summer, bringing in Grace Geyoro and Lucia Corrales as just two of their most high-profile captures, with 17 arrivals overall.

Despite losing 4-1 to Arsenal in their opener, the ambitious outfit will be looking to gel as the season progresses, and ex-Reds Katie Zelem and Nikita Parris are also in their ranks.

DID YOU KNOW?

Our last league meeting with London City came in 2018/19, with the Reds winning 8-0 in the away game and 5-0 at home, en route to winning the WSL2 title.

We have won all 12 of our previous WSL matches against newly promoted sides and are the only side to have a 100 per cent record against them.

Boss Skinner came up against his opposite number, Joceyln Precheur, during the Champions League qualifiers against Paris Saint-Germain in 2023.
