Former Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba has been offered to AS Monaco as he eyes a return to competitive football.
Pogba has been without a club since November after Juventus terminated his contract.
The World Cup winner has not played a single competitive minute of first-team football since August 2023, after he failed a doping test.
Initially, he was handed a four-year ban, which looked like it would spell the end of his professional football career.
However, the ban was reduced to 18 months after the player lodged a successful appeal. He was free to resume training in January and make a return to action in March.
Pogba has been linked to several clubs in the MLS, Saudi Arabia, his native France and even in the Premier League.
There were even rumours that a blockbuster return to United, for a third time, was on the cards, but these suggestions were quickly put to bed.
Now, according to Foot Mercato, Pogba has waiting to see which project would suit him best. He is believed to be open to playing Ligue 1, with Marseille mentioned as an interested party.
Marseille are however not expected to pursue a swoop for the Carrington academy graduate due to his high salary demands.
The news outlet adds, “The 32-year-old midfielder has been offered to AS Monaco, according to our information.”
“In search of a talented player to strengthen its midfield, Monaco has been offered the recruitment of the 2018 world champion.”
“It remains to be seen whether ASM will want to go further in recruiting a player who could bring many things to the Monegasques if he regains his former level.”
