Manchester United Women star Jess Park’s move from Manchester City could have hardly gone better so far. Scintillating form Many fans were unsure over the swap deal that saw the popular Grace Clinton go in the opposite direction to the blue side of Manchester. Not many fans are still questioning the deal though as Park has brought wonderful technical quality and balance to United’s midfield. She has scored four goals in the Women’s Super League this season and made herself an integral part of the team. Park was once again instrumental for United in their impressive 2-1 win over Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League earlier this week. United’s crucial winning goal will go down as an Anna Sandberg assist and Fridolina Rolfo goal but Jess Park’s role was invaluable. Her jinking run in the middle of the park created the space and showed off her sublime technical ability. Player of the Month She won the fans’ player of the month award for October and also the WSL’s Player of the Month award. In addition, alongside her United and England teammate Ella Toone, she was nominated for the October’s PFA Fans’ Player of the Month award. Success keeps rolling in The club’s official website confirmed yesterday that, “Manchester United midfielder Jess Park has added another award to her growing Reds collection, after being named the PFA WSL Fans’ Player of the Month for October.” Highlighting the success of the United team this year, it is “the third time this year that PFA’s monthly WSL prize has been won by someone from Marc Skinner’s side, after Toone received the award in January and Elisabeth Terland took February’s crown.” Park will be champing at the bit for United’s next game tomorrow when she will face off against her former employers Manchester City.
