Manchester United Women’s Jess Park has had a sensational start to her career on the red side of the city. Wonderful first few months Park made a sensational switch to the Progress with Unity Stadium in September after Grace Clinton moved to neighbours Manchester City. The England international has so far proven to be an outstanding signing, scoring goals for fun and being a massive influence on how the team performs. Park has scored four goals and provided two assists in nine Women’s Super League matches this season. The 24-year-old has also scored one goal in the Champions League, helping her side reach the round of 16, where they will face Atletico Madrid next month. Her effort was a stunning strike in Turin against Juventus, which helped the Red Devils secure seeded passage to the next round. Owing to her incredible showings, she has already won the Player of the Month award for the club in October and November. Hat-trick of awards Park’s season has got even better, as she has been named the club’s player of the month for December, making it three awards on the bounce. The club’s official website stated, “Jess Park has been selected as Manchester United Women’s Player of the Month for a third consecutive time.” Park also scored against Tottenham Hotspur in the last match before the winter break to help her side progress into the semi-final of the League Cup, where they will face Arsenal. She also put in impressive showings against West Ham United and Tottenham Hotspur again in the league.
