Official: FA confirm they have charged ex-United star with misconduct after shocking allegation

The Football Association (FA) have officially charged former Manchester United and Burnley midfielder Hannibal Mejbri with misconduct. Mejbri charged Last month, Mejbri was accused of spitting towards Leeds United supporters during a clash between the Yorkshire outfit and Burnley at Turf Moor. Burnley won the contest 2-0. The incident appeared to take place while Mejbri was warming up in readiness to be thrust into the action. Scott Parker brought him on as a substitute in the 83rd minute. When the allegation was made, Lancashire Police confirmed that they had launched an investigation. Burnley also acknowledged they were aware of the matter and were working with the authorities to establish exactly what had happened. Leeds declined to issue a comment. Now, the FA have announced that they have charged Mejbri with misconduct.
