New time for WSL visit to Villa

Tuesday 09 December 2025 14:05Manchester United Women’s visit to Aston Villa in the Barclays WSL has been given a new kick-off time. The Reds are scheduled to play Natalia Arroyo’s side on Sunday 25 January, in a game which is being broadcast live on Sky Sports. This fixture was initially set for a 14:00 GMT start, but this has now been brought forward to 11:55 GMT.We’ll be looking for revenge against the Villans, who took all three points from November’s head-to-head at the Progress with Unity Stadium. United went into the game unbeaten in the league and strong favourites, but Miriael Taylor’s first-half effort proved to be enough for the visitors to claim the win. On a more positive note, that was the only time we’ve ever lost to the Midlanders, and our past record in this fixture includes some resounding successes, including a 12-0 second-tier walloping back in 2018, and last term’s 4-0 triumph at Villa Park.Next month’s meeting will also take place at the club’s main stadium, and will be United Women’s second top-flight fixture of the new year. A fortnight earlier, we’ll travel to the Emirates Stadium to face Arsenal, in a game that could have big repercussions at the top end of the table.Recommended:What was Dom thinking for the free-kick?
