Juventus have ‘renewed their interest’ in Joshua Zirkzee after missing out on their first-choice target, Youssef En-Nesyri.Indeed, the Serie A giants have conceded that a deal for En-Nesyri is now off the table after the Fenerbahce star ‘expressed a few doubts’ about making the switch, as per Juventus’ Sporting Director Giorgio Chiellini (via The Mirror, quoting La Gazzetta dello Sport). The Old Lady could not meet Fenerbahce’s demands to buy him outright, hence having to end their pursuit entirely and begin exploring alternative options before the approaching deadline.Juventus revive Zirkzee pursuit late on in window(Photo by Carl Recine/Getty Images)As a result, they have returned to Zirkzee – hailed as a ‘difference-maker’ by Owen Hargreaves – after being heavily linked with the Red Devils attacker in the build-up to the January window.Nothing materialised when the window officially opened as United decided to part ways with manager Ruben Amorim, who had utilised Zirkzee sparingly throughout the first half of the campaign. However, the 24-year-old has not been able to feature since Michael Carrick took the reins on an interim basis due to injury, meaning he missed out on the side’s emphatic wins over Manchester City and Arsenal over the last fortnight.
