No Champions League football and the need to strengthen Ruben Amorim’s hand means Manchester United will try and move on quite a few players in the summer, and the list includes big-name stars like Alejandro Garnacho.
The Argentine seemed to have won over the head coach following their initial falling out before the Manchester derby with Amorim even backing him to stay when Napoli tried to sign him in January.
But the 20-year-old attitude issues kept cropping up, like during the Ipswich Town game, and while the Portuguese tactician played down that particular incident, the attacker’s post-Europa League final comments seemed to be the final straw.
Alejandro Garnacho criticised the 40-year-old’s decision to drop him to the bench, while his brother also uploaded an incendiary story on social media attacking Amorim.

And the former Sporting CP boss seemed to have had enough as on the following day, he instructed the Argentina international to find himself a new club in the summer.
Napoli are reportedly set to meet with the player’s representatives this week and are desperate to win the race for his signature, after their failure to do so in the winter.
The Carrington graduate wants a move to Real Madrid but his dream is unlikely to be fulfilled, while Arsenal are monitoring proceedings with interest and have even touched base with Garnacho’s camp.
Another Serie A team have joined the race as per Argentine outlet Ole, who have claimed AC Milan have silently begun negotiations over a summer deal. No amount is mentioned in the report.

“Milan, Italy, could be the destination for Alejandro Garnacho, a forward who will no longer be at Manchester United due to the decision of manager Ruben Amorim.
“Olé spoke with Italian journalists, who revealed that negotiations are indeed underway. This, despite the fact that no details have emerged from England regarding the attacker’s future.
“Other reports point to an offer from Chelsea, while others suggest an offer from Juventus and Napoli.”
The current Serie A winners feel £50 million could be enough to persuade United to sell their No.17 who has been described as a player “who never gives up” while for domestic rivals like Chelsea, INEOS will demand £65 million.
Currently, the United wonderkid is part of the club’s post-season Asia squad, where he will be hoping to say goodbye to the fans with one last hurrah.
