Nathaniel Brown’s January Transfer Stance Confirmed As Man Utd And Arsenal Vie For £57M Rated Fullback

BACK Man Utd transfer target Nathaniel Brown is not interested in leaving Eintracht Frankfurt during the January transfer window, according to reports in the German media. Both the Red Devils and Arsenal have been linked with bids for the German international in recent days. However, Bild claim that Brown is aiming to stay at Frankfurt until the summer so he can cement his place in Germany’s World Cup squad. The 22-year-old was given his first cap by national team head coach Julian Nagelsmann back in October. He came on for the final 10 minutes of the 4-0 win over Luxembourg before being given another runout as a substitute against Slovakia during a 6-0 victory last month. Brown’s price tag is very high Eintracht Frankfurt sporting director Markus Krosche is a notoriously difficult man to negotiate with. He has secured high transfer fees for the likes of Hugo Ekitike, Randal Kolo Muani and Omar Marmoush in previous transfer windows. Krosche has recently spoken out to suggest that Brown is worth a similar amount to Chelsea’s Marc Cucurella, with a fee of around €65m (£57m) being suggested as his asking price. Man Utd are looking to provide competition for Dorgu Head coach Ruben Amorim has expressed a need for more wingback options, and Brown could potentially be brought in to challenge Patrick Dorgu. The Denmark international has struggled to establish himself since arriving from Lecce last January, with Amorim having favoured Diogo Dalot at times on the left flank despite the Portuguese international not being well suited to the role. Brown might not be a perfect fit either. Amorim would prefer an inverted wingback, and the German is used to playing in a more conventional capacity. The interest from the Red Devils does seem to be concrete, though.
