The Telegraph journalist John Percy is usually very reliable when it comes to transfers involving the Midlands club, and he claims that Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis wants to eclipse the record for an English player. Arsenal paid £105m for Declan Rice in the summer of 2023, and Anderson is valued above that figure. Percy says both United and rivals Manchester City are “very interested” in the England international, but Forest are hoping that a good World Cup will increase the number of suitors even further.
