Marcus Rashford turned down approach from shock European club “this week” – Fabrizio Romano

Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford reportedly turned down an approach from Turkish giants Galatasaray this week.

Rashford has fallen out of favour under Ruben Amorim, who recently left him out of four consecutive matchday squads for “training and selection reasons.”

Although Rashford was reinstated for the 2-0 loss to Newcastle last week, he remained an unused substitute. He was not available to Amorim for selection during Sunday’s blockbuster 2-2 draw with Liverpool at Anfield due to illness.

United are believed to be prepared to listen to offers for Rashford, who admitted in an interview shortly before Christmas that he is keen on a new challenge away from Old Trafford.

Several potential destinations have been mentioned for Rashford including Napoli, Juventus, AC Milan, Paris Saint-Germain and the Saudi Pro League.

Galatasaray are also thought to be admirers of the England international. Last month, football agent George Gardi claimed that he will take Rashford to RAMS Park if the player is interested.

Now, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Galatasaray made a move for Rashford but the 27-year-old seemingly rejected them.

Romano wrote on X, “Movements around Marcus Rashford have started as expected.”

“Borussia Dortmund and AC Milan have both asked for conditions of the deal.”

“More contacts are planned, meanwhile Galatasaray also approached Rashford this week but he’s prioritizing other options in top 5 leagues now.”

David Ornstein of The Athletic relayed that United are insisting any club interested in taking Rashford on loan must cover a significant portion of his £325,000-a-week wages.

United are back in action on Sunday when they face Arsenal in the third round of the FA Cup.
