BACK Man Utd are hoping to raise £10m from the sale of goalkeeper Radek Vitek this summer, according to reports. The 22-year-old has never played for the Red Devils’ first team since moving from Sigma Olomouc in the summer of 2020. However, Vitek has been sent out on loan on three separate occasions, where he has built up a good deal of senior experience. The Czech youth international is currently with Championship side Bristol City, and the Daily Mail claims his performances at Ashton Gate could help raise significant funds if he is sold over the coming months. Vitek does not want to be a backup keeper His form for Bristol City has raised the prospect of him being no.2 for Senne Lammens next season, with the futures of Altay Bayindir and Andre Onana expected to lie away from Old Trafford. However, it is believed that Vitek is not keen on sitting on the bench, and that has led to the decision to sanction his departure this summer if a team matches his asking price. Remaining at Bristol City on a permanent deal seemed like a realistic possibility when coach Gerhard Struber said last month that he would “love” to keep Vitek, but the Austrian has since lost his job. Onana’s future at Man Utd also needs to be decided The club’s previous number one will return from his loan spell at Trabzonspor in July, and he will reportedly get a pay rise if United qualify for the Champions League. Onana is still determined to return and prove himself to the club’s next permanent manager, but it is widely assumed that he will be offloaded to the highest bidder. The club need to sell him for £28.5m to break even on PSR rules, but finding a team who would pay that much seems unlikely. Want more news on Man Utd?
