Man Utd will have to see off competition from Arsenal for the signature of Leicester City winger Jeremy Monga, according to reports. The teenager is known to be on the Red Devils’ radar, with the Daily Mail naming him as a target earlier this week. However, The Telegraph now claim that the Gunners are showing “strong interest” in Monga, who has been described as Leicester’s “crown jewel.” The teenager is set to sign a professional contract with the Foxes when he turns 17 in July. However, it looks like Monga could still be the subject of several bids from Premier League clubs this summer. What do fans need to know about Monga? The 16-year-old became the second youngest player in Premier League history when he came on as a substitute against Newcastle in April last year. Monga has gone on to make 38 senior appearances for Leicester, starting 7 games in the Championship this campaign. The youngster can play on either wing, although he does prefer to play off the left flank so he can cut in onto his stronger right foot. Monga has yet to become prolific in front of goal. He has scored just once at first-team level so far. That goal came against Stoke City during a 2-2 draw in February. It remains to be seen whether that may deter Monga from choosing United as his next club. Want more news on Man Utd?
