Manchester United are reportedly closing in on their fifth deal of the summer transfer window.
According to reports in Spain, an agreement is near between Man United and LaLiga side Celta Vigo for out-of-favour goalkeeper Altay Bayindir.
Faro de Vigo claim that Celta Vigo hope to secure a loan deal for Bayindir in the coming days as Claudio Giraldez wants the 28-year-old to compete with Andrei Radu as the first choice stopper next season.
Bayindir, who joined the Red Devils from Fenerbahce in September 2023, has less than a year remaining on his contract at Old Trafford, though Man Utd have the option to trigger a 12-month extension.
However, Spanish publication AS state there is very little chance of United receiving a fee from Celta, while Bayindir would have to reduce his wages to join permanently.
Bayindir started last season Man United’s first-choice goalkeeper in the Premier League, but lost his place to summer signing Senne Lammens at the beginning of October and has not made a competitive appearance since.
