BACK David Tully Apr 22nd 2026 Man Utd are lining up a €40m (£35m) bid for Palmeiras winger Eduardo Conceicao, according to reports in Brazil. UOL Esporte have claimed that the Red Devils have “signalled” to the player’s representative that they will table a formal offer for the teenager. Conceicao has been heavily linked with Man City, or more specifically the City Football Group, in recent weeks. However, it is believed that there are at least seven teams, including Paris Saint-Germain, Barcelona, Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool, who have had contact with the young Brazilian’s agent. What do fans need to know about Conceicao? The 16-year-old can play on both flanks but his preference is to play off the left wing so he can cut in onto his stronger right foot. Conceicao has yet to play a senior game, but his performances at Under-20 level have grabbed the attention of potential suitors. Back in January, the forward scored 4 goals and provided 2 assists in a 9-0 victory during a high-profile youth tournament, the Copinha. Scouts from top European clubs usually attend these games to discover the next big thing, and Conceicao stood out. Due to his age, he would not be able to officially join a European team until he is 18. It means a move would be delayed until January 2028. The offer from Man Utd is likely to be rejected Embed from Getty Images UOL Esporte report that Palmeiras are hoping to receive around €50m (£43.5m) from the sale of their latest young prodigy. The Brazilian side sold Estevao to Chelsea for more than that figure last year, and they have also protected Conceicao’s value by securing him to a new contract with a €100m (£87m) release clause. While they are not expecting to receive that much for the youngster, United would probably need to improve their initial proposal. Want more news on Man Utd?
