Man United Have ‘Entered The Fray’ To Sign £35M Rated South American ‘Gem’ Who Arsenal Scouts Have Been Raving About

BACK Man United have “entered the fray” to buy Vasco Da Gama forward Rayan when the transfer window reopens in January, according to reports. Brazilian website Bolavip.com claim that the Red Devils are investing in young players and see the 19-year-old as a “very promising gem”. Rayan has been in impressive form this campaign, scoring 16 goals in 46 appearances, and Vasco Da Gama are keen to keep hold of one of their best players. It is believed that bids upwards of €25m (£22m) have been rejected for the teenager, with his asking price said to be closer to €40m (£35m). United could be tempted to make a move for Rayan to strengthen their forward line if Joshua Zirkzee does depart Old Trafford. The Dutchman is keen on leaving to get more first-team football, although the Red Devils have not sanctioned his sale as things stand. Competition for Rayan is high Arsenal reportedly sent scouts to watch the Brazilian against Fluminense last week and they were impressed by what they saw after he scored the opening goal during a 2-0 win. The Gunners are not the only Premier League side who have taken an interest in Rayan, though, with Tottenham and Chelsea having also been mentioned as potential suitors.
