Man United eye late £40m move for “amazing” £200k-a-week star who could transform them

Manchester United are plotting a late move for the Aston Villa goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez before the window closes.

According to a report from The Mirror, they are lining up a £40 million offer to sign the Argentine international goalkeeper. They have been linked with the player in recent months, but Manchester United never really pursued him with conviction. It seems that they are now prepared to submit a concrete offer for him.

Can Man United sign Martinez?

It will be interesting to see if they can get the deal done. Aston Villa might not be willing to let the player leave at this stage of the window. He is an indispensable asset for them. Martinez is undoubtedly one of the best goalkeepers in the world, and Aston Villa will struggle to replace him at this stage of the window.

Meanwhile, Manchester United have been linked with Senne Lammens as well.

Martinez has been described as an “amazing” goalkeeper. He would certainly be a better option compared to the current keepers at Manchester United’s disposal.

The £200,000-a-week goalkeeper is one of the best in his position, and he could transform Manchester United. Andre Onana and Altay Bayindir have been quite poor for Manchester United, and Martinez would be a huge upgrade. Having a goalkeeper like him could make a big difference for them. It will be interesting to see if Manchester United can pull off a surprise move for the player before the window closes.

They have had a disappointing start to the Premier League campaign, and they need quality players to bounce back. Someone could help them improve immensely and fight for a place in the Champions League next season. The opportunity to join a big club will be exciting for the goalkeeper. He has won the World Cup and COPA América with his country, and he will look to win major trophies at the club level now.

Even though Manchester United are struggling, they are one of the biggest clubs in the world, and it will be difficult for the player to turn them down.
