La Liga hotshots preparing lucrative offer to sign in-form £40m United attacker – report

Antony’s time at Manchester United may be drawing to a close, with Real Betis reportedly preparing a formal offer to make the Brazilian’s loan move permanent.

The 24 year old spent a successful spell on loan in Andalucia last season, during which the La Liga side had initially dismissed the idea of a permanent deal due to financial constraints.

However, iPaper now suggest that Betis are doing “all they can” to keep the winger at the Benito Villamarín Stadium.

The Spanish outfit are assembling an incentive-laden package that includes a larger share of image rights and favourable sell-on clauses.

The proposal is designed to counterbalance their inability to meet United’s £40 million valuation or Antony’s current wage demands, both of which had seemed insurmountable obstacles earlier in the summer.

Despite these hurdles, Betis are now seen as increasingly confident of reaching a deal that satisfies all parties.

Their renewed interest appears to have been sparked by Antony’s strong performances and growing connection with the fanbase during his time in Spain.

Yet their pursuit may not be straightforward.

Atletico Madrid are also believed to be interested in acquiring the former Ajax winger, according to additional reports from Spain.

That competition could drive up the price, which would be welcomed by United, who are eager to recoup as much of their original outlay as possible.

The club are reportedly looking to raise funds for reinforcements elsewhere in the squad.

Antony joined United from Ajax in 2022 for a fee of around £85 million but has struggled to live up to expectations in the Premier League.

A permanent move this summer seems like the best decision for both, the player and the club.
