Manchester United winger Alejandro Garnacho has reportedly confided to friends that he’s all set to sign for Chelsea before the end of the month.
The Argentinian has been omitted from Ruben Amorim’s plans since his unsavoury interview following the defeat to Spurs in the Europa League final, when he expressed his frustration with his role at Carrington, as well as the club’s overall situation.
In any case, the 21-year-old never truly was the manager’s cup of tea, despite being hailed as a ‘phenomenal’ player thanks to exploits during Erik ten Hag’s time at Old Trafford. Therefore, Garnacho was placed on the transfer list, joining Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho, Antony and Tyrell Malacia in the so-called ‘Bomb squad’.
While some of his fellow outcasts are still facing an uncertain future, the writing appears to be on the wall for the Argentina international. Fabrizio Romano and several other top sources have been insisting for weeks that Garnacho will end up signing for Chelsea this summer.
Man United keen to offload Garnacho
With less than two weeks separating us from the transfer window’s deadline day, the Blues still have some work to do on this particular front. Although they did manage to find an agreement with the player’s entourage on personal terms, the accord with Man Utd remains missing.
Nevertheless, Garnacho remains highly optimistic, as talkSPORT Chief Football Correspondent Alex Crook revealed that the player is certain that he’ll play his football at Stamford Bridge this season.

The West Londoners have already recruited top-notch players this summer, the likes of Liam Delap, Joao Pedro and Jamie Gittens, but offloading players remains a necessity to keep their accounts balanced. Therefore, Chelsea might have to complete one or two additional sales to raise funds for Garnacho.
United have named their asking price at £50 million, but Cook expects Chelsea to try to drive the asking price down by pouncing on INEOS’ desperate desire to sell the player whose relationship with Amorim is completely broken.
