Four months to give my all for this badge and for our goal. Eternal respect and affection for Manchester United and its wonderful fans.“Forever Red Devil.” ℹ️ @Casemiro will depart United at the end of the season, upon the expiry of his contract. A serial winner, we thank Case for his contributions in red so far and hope to finish his time at the club on a high together 🙏🔴 — Manchester United (@ManUtd) January 22, 2026Casemiro to leave United this summer after four years(Photo by Carl Recine/Getty Images)Alas, his time in M16 will end after four years. He joined the club back in August 2022 under Erik ten Hag in a £70 million deal from Real Madrid, where he won five Champions League titles and a host of other exceptional accolades. In red, Casemiro lifted the League Cup in 2023 and the FA Cup in 2024. He will now be looking to aid the side in their quest to secure UCL qualification for the remainder of the campaign.Contract option would’ve allowed Casemiro to stay an extra 12 months(Photo by Julian Finney/Getty Images)Had the Brazilian started every Premier League fixture until May, his contract would’ve automatically extended to June 2027 via a one-year clause in his terms. It’s thought United had intended for Casemiro to stay beyond the summer, but were aiming for him to lower his exorbitant £350,000-a-week wages. The 33-year-old is the Reds’ highest earner along with skipper Bruno Fernandes, who also faces an uncertain future ahead of his deal expiring next year. It’s safe to say the departure of the seasoned midfield veteran means a replacement will be absolutely crucial, so INEOS had better start scouring the market and making tentative approaches now to be ahead of the curve.
