Manchester United have done pretty well to do the business they have managed to do so far this summer.
In the absence of European football, there wasn’t much hope for their summer transfer window but things have played out better than expected.
Christopher Vivell & Co. have managed to bring in the likes of Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo and Benjamin Sesko. All three are attacking reinforcements and could help solve the goalscoring issue for Ruben Amorim.
The club has continued to target players in other positions. For example, midfield is an area that the Red Devils seem keen on reinforcing this summer and there have been many names on the club’s radar like Carlos Baleba.
Now, as per journalist Ben Jacobs, Manchester United have now turned their attention to Stuttgart midfield star Angelo Stiller as a potential option to solve the midfield conundrum. The journalist has mentioned that it has been internal discussions for now.
Stiller has been one of Bundesliga’s best midfielders in recent times. He is very good at conducting play and can control the tempo of the game.
He is said to be having a clause of around £34.6million, which is a very decent price for the youngster.
There is no guarantee that Stiller wants to move to Man Utd or that the club are keen on signing the youngster this summer. For now, talks seem to be at a strictly exploratory phase and what comes of it remains to be seen.
Amorim currently has a number of talented options in his squad who can potentially play in defensive midfield.
Casemiro and Bruno Fernandes seem to be the first-choice for the Portuguese tactician but there are the likes of Manuel Ugarte and Kobbie Mainoo in the squad.
It remains to be seen if Man Utd make a concrete move to sign Stiller this summer. Should they manage to convince him, he would be a solid acquisition. Let’s wait and see how things play out on this front in the coming days.
