Manchester United’s striker search has so far not gone according to plan, which is why links with Dusan Vlahovic have been increasing by the day.
Liam Delap chose Chelsea over the Red Devils despite Jason Wilcox’s best efforts, while Ruben Amorim’s protege, Viktor Gyokeres, keeps snubbing United in favour of a move to Arsenal.
Victor Osimhen also seems to be beyond reach due to his wage demands, while the Juventus ace is keen to move to the Premier League.
His agents have offered his services to the 20-time English league champions, but as per Gazzetta dello Sport, the Bianconeri are yet to receive any concrete offers.
Dusan Vlahovic not on United’s list as of now
Because of which, the Serbian is open to a switch to AC Milan, where he will be reunited with former Juve boss Max Allegri. But even the Rossoneri are unlikely to be able to afford his wages.
For now, there is a stalemate. If United do not make a move before the window closes, the 25-year-old could be forced to rethink his demands, and that is what Milan are hoping for.
“Dusan Vlahovic’s agents have been looking around for months now, hunting for a new contract. However, at the moment no concrete negotiations have matured for a change of shirt. No official offer has reached Continassa and this only complicates things.

But the economic problem remains, considering that Dusan currently earns 12 million euros net and is asking to sign for at least a three-year contract. In via Aldo Rossi they cannot afford such a high salary.
AC Milan ready to pounce

The Peoples Person even relayed that Moise Kean is the preferred backup choice and not the Juventus striker, and this report seems to corroborate that.
His lowered price tag had made Dusan Vlahovic an attractive target while his form is not to be frowned at, with the Serbia international scoring 15 goals last season, and the season before, he was adjudged Striker of the Season in Serie A as he netted 16 goals in the league.
But for now, INEOS clearly have other players in mind, with Huge Ekitike among the backup options. Only if a move fails might the co-owners look towards the Juventus hitman.
