Ineos ready to go against their transfer policy to sign incredible Bundesliga forward loved by Amorim – report

Manchester United are showing interest in Bayer Leverkusen striker Patrik Schick amid uncertainty over Liam Delap’s decision, as per reports.

The Ipswich Town talisman, who has scored 12 Premier League goals this term, has emerged as United’s top target for the striker position.

However, the Red Devils face stiff competition for his signature as Delap is being chased by a number of top Premier League clubs. The talented Englishman is available for just £30 million following Ipswich’s relegation to the Championship.

According to Givemesport, United could “turn their attentions towards” trying to sign Schick if it becomes difficult to convince the 22-year-old to return to Manchester.

It is suggested that Ineos’ preference is to add up-and-coming talents to the club’s ranks and making a move for the 29-year-old Czech Republic international would mean going against their transfer strategy.

However, Schick has grabbed Ruben Amorim’s attention with his clinical finishing and is viewed as an “attainable alternative” to Delap.

The versatile centre-forward has bagged 25 goals under Xabi Alonso in all competitions this season.

The outlet claim that there is a possibility that “talks will be held” with Leverkusen if United decide to stop chasing the Ipswich star.

United have also been linked with Napoli’s Victor Osimhen and Eintracht Frankfurt youngster Hugo Ekitike but both number nines have very high valuations.

Schick is considered a budget-friendly solution and is reported to be valued at £34m by the Bundesliga giants.

However, this pursuit isn’t going to be straightforward either as it is believed that the Red Devils may face competition from Real Madrid.

Recently, The Peoples Person relayed a report claiming United could renew their interest in Paris Saint-Germain forward Randal Kolo Muani if they miss out on their preferred targets in the summer.
