BACK David Tully Feb 17th 2026 Everton winger Iliman Ndiaye has rekindled speculation about a potential move to Man Utd. When asked about the favourite stadium he has played in over the years, the Senegalese international went with Old Trafford. Asked to explain why, he said: “The atmosphere, the size. When we were like growing up, this was the stadium you wanna play in…” Ndiaye has been mentioned as a possible summer transfer target, with the Red Devils keen on adding another winger to the squad. Why are Man Utd looking to buy a wide player? Marcus Rashford has made it clear that he would like to join Barcelona on a permanent basis at the end of the season. His likely departure means that the Red Devils have limited choicess out wide, with Bryan Mbeumo and Amad the only two senior options in the squad. Patrick Dorgu is a converted wingback, while Matheus Cunha’s preference is to play as a No.10, although he can be deployed on the left wing if needed. For that reason, Director of Football Jason Wilcox and Head of Recruitment Christopher Vivell believe a new winger should be brought in to reinforce a key position. Ndiaye is not the only target under consideration While the Everton forward is thought to be on the club’s radar, it is believed that RB Leipzig’s Yan Diomande is at the top of their wishlist. However, the Ivorian international could be pretty expensive, with reports in the German media suggesting he could cost upwards of €100m (£87m). The likes of Ndiaye and AC Milan pair Rafael Leao and Christian Pulisic are said to be among the likely alternatives. No final decision on transfer targets has been made yet, though, as the budget will be determined by whether the club qualify for the Champions League. Want more news on Man Utd?
