Ideal Maguire replacement pushing to leave European giants just months after Ineos eyed €60m deal – report

Yann Bisseck is keen to leave Inter Milan when the winter transfer window opens.

Bisseck exit talk gathers pace

“Bisseck has struggled for game time since head coach Cristian Chivu joined in the summer,” admits Foot Italia.

“Chivu’s preferred trio consists of loan signing Manuel Akanji, veteran Stefan de Vrij, and Azzurri star Alessandro Bastoni.

“Furthermore, Francesco Acerbi has also been favoured ahead of Bisseck when called upon.

“…The Inter Milan defender could leave San Siro in January.”

Eager to stake his claim for Germany’s World Cup squad, Bisseck is reportedly desperate to move and prove himself elsewhere.

While his next destination remains uncertain, Manchester United are certainly a club worth watching.

Persistent links to Old Trafford

Back in May, reports suggested the 24-year-old was a strong candidate to bolster Ruben Amorim’s defence.

There was even talk of Inter offering Bisseck in a swap deal for Rasmus Hojlund, though nothing came of it.

With Harry Maguire now 32 and his deal expiring, Bisseck was also touted as his ideal successor.

Ultimately, a €60 million (£52 million) move to Old Trafford last summer fell through, but United now have a fresh chance to push this deal over the line.

Perfect RCB

Before falling down the pecking order under Chivu, Bisseck had impressed as a right-sided centre-back in Inter’s back three.

His aerial dominance, strong tackling, and recovery pace, combined with a growing confidence in possession, make him a natural fit for Amorim’s back three.

With neither Jonny Evans nor Victor Lindelof replaced after their departures last summer, the spotlight now shifts to INEOS to strengthen United’s defence as they ought to.

Will United finally make their move for Bisseck?

If they hold back, Eintracht Frankfurt and Crystal Palace are the two other clubs worth keeping an eye on.
