Our latest Academy film, Next Gen: Hong Kong, is set to be released this Friday.
Following the success of our recent Lifeblood series, focusing on various aspects of the Academy culture at Manchester United, we sent cameras out on another trip with the young Reds to Hong Kong.
The week-long programme was hosted by our long-standing partner, The Hong Kong Jockey Club, and gave our Under-16s side a chance to train and play matches against their peers in an altogether different climate than they’re used to on English shores.
Not only that, but the visit gave the youngsters a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to experience different cultures, getting involved with a range of exciting activities along the way.

Next Gen: Hong Kong gives you exclusive access to the trip, with the 30-minute long documentary providing a peek behind the curtain of warm-weather training, friendly matches in front of thousands of fans, and various extra-curricular activities ranging from jockey training to bowling.
You’ll see all that and also hear from key Academy voices including head of player development, Tom Curtis and education officer, Tom Royle, plus former United stars Phil Jones and Peter Schmeichel, who joined the group on the trip.
The journey, captured by our cameras, provides a unique view of the work that our Academy set-up does to develop not just talented footballers, but also well-rounded young people.

HOW TO WATCH NEXT GEN: HONG KONG
The documentary will be released at 19:00 BST on Friday 17 October on ManUtd.com and the United App.
