Manchester United are back in action at Old Trafford this weekend, facing Chelsea in the Premier League.

Saturday’s teatime kick-off presents a chance to respond positively to the 3-0 derby defeat to Manchester City, and put some more points on the board.

It’s another tough test, against the current Club World Cup holders, but there is plenty of time to prepare for the fixture and generate the noisy backing of the United faithful as Enzo Maresca’s side come to town.

Here is everything you need to know about our second outing of September…

HOW TO WATCH AND FOLLOW

The 17:30 BST kick-off is being shown live on Sky Sports in the UK, while MUTV subscribers can enjoy top pre-match build-up from 16:25 BST, including the all-important breaking team news.

Ex-Reds Wes Brown and Luke Chadwick will be at Old Trafford to offer their insight and analysis, with Liam Bradford and Ben Thornley providing live radio commentary.

Join us in the United App and on ManUtd.com for extensive coverage, including interactive polls, match updates, Opta stats and, of course, Ruben Amorim’s interviews before and after the 90 minutes.

TEAM NEWS

United were without Diogo Dalot, Mason Mount and Matheus Cunha for the 3-0 loss to City.

Head coach Amorim is likely to be asked whether any of the three will be fit for Chelsea’s visit during his press conference, scheduled for Friday afternoon at Carrington.

Lisandro Martinez is continuing his battle to regain fitness after a knee operation.

Altay Bayindir kept his place in goal, despite the arrival of Senne Lammens on deadline day, while Noussair Mazraoui and Benjamin Sesko made their first league starts of the season at the Etihad Stadium.

Chelsea have Bayern Munich to come in the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday, but Liam Delap and Mykhailo Mudryk will be unavailable.

Benoit Badiashile and Romeo Lavia are doubts. Young forward Estevao should overcome the virus that kept him out of the 2-2 draw at Brentford, where ex-Red Alejandro Garnacho and Facundo Buonanotte were the Blues’ latest debutants.

Diogo Dalot missed the Manchester derby after sustaining an injury while with Portugal.

FORM GUIDE

United sit in 14th place in the Premier League table, following the derby defeat.

After losing to Arsenal in our opener and drawing 1-1 at Fulham, a dramatic 3-2 home victory against Burnley preceded the first international break of the campaign.

Chelsea are unbeaten in fifth and finished goalless with Crystal Palace on the opening weekend. A resounding 5-1 triumph away to West Ham United and controversial 2-0 win over Fulham boosted the Stamford Bridge outfit. Brentford snatched a late equaliser in a 2-2 draw last time out, meaning this game will be the first time Chelsea have not played against London-based opposition in the domestic season.

The Merseyside derby at Anfield kicks things off on Saturday, before a big game between Arsenal and Manchester City concludes matchweek five of the Premier League.
