It took Bruno Fernandes just over five-and-a-half years to score 100 goals for Manchester United.
The midfielder joined us from Sporting Club in January 2020 and opened his Reds account with a penalty against Watford the following month.
That was one of 12 strikes Bruno would manage in an impressive debut campaign, but he hit more than twice that number in 2020/21 – his most successful individual season with United yet.
Fernandes found the net 28 times under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer that year, with 18 of those goals coming in the Premier League.

More than half of our no.8’s United efforts have arrived in the top-flight – 64, to be exact, with the Portugal international also registering double figures in 2021/22 and 2023/24.
His next most fruitful competition has been the Europa League (16), while Fernandes has also scored goals for United in the Emirates FA Cup (10), Champions League (six) and Carabao Cup (four).
Bruno’s 50th goal for the club arrived in a 3-0 win against Brentford at Old Trafford in May 2022, which was one of 54 celebrated by our home fans.
A further 42 goals came in away games, while Fernandes has also registered four times on neutral ground – twice at Wembley Stadium, in defeats to Chelsea and Manchester City, and twice at Cologne’s RheinEnergieStadion, where the Europa League knockout rounds came to a conclusion five years ago.
Aston Villa are Bruno’s favourite opponents, as he’s been on the scoresheet against the Midlanders on seven occasions.
Everton, Leeds United and Leicester City must also be sick of the sight of our captain, because he’s netted six times against each of them, including a hat-trick against the Elland Road side on the opening day in 2021.
Real Sociedad have also been on the receiving end of a Fernandes treble, while there have been 13 braces.
Incredibly, 39 of Bruno’s 100 goals have come from the penalty spot, and he is officially the deadliest player in our history from 12 yards, while there is an even split in terms of squad number – 50 in the no.18 and 50 since switching to no.8 when Juan Mata left in 2022.
We’re sure that there are many more goals to come from our Portuguese magnifico, who is just the 23rd player in our history to hit a century.
