Manchester United Women will host Liverpool at Leigh Sports Village on Sunday afternoon in a highly-anticipated WSL fixture.

Tickets are still available for the 12:00 GMT kick-off and another red-hot atmosphere is expected. Secure your seats now and get behind the team!

Marc Skinner’s team are currently fifth in the WSL table, with four wins, three draws and only one defeat from eight matches so far. Our visitors from Merseyside are one place below in sixth place, with just two victories recorded in 2024/25 to date.

Sunday’s match will be shown live in the UK via Sky Sports and live radio commentary will also be provided across ManUtd.com and the United App.

But we’d love you to attend and get behind the team – get your tickets now.

TRENDING OPTA STATS

– United Women are unbeaten at home in the WSL this season (W2 D2), our best such start in a WSL campaign since 2020/21 (unbeaten in first six).

– United have won two of their three home games against Liverpool in the WSL (L1), including a 6-0 win in January 2023 which remains the Reds’ biggest ever victory in the competition.

– No team have made fewer changes to their starting line-ups in the WSL this season than United Women (9), who have also named the second youngest starting XIs on average (25y 334d) in the competition this season, behind only Leicester City (25y 314d).

– Geyse has both attempted (39) and completed (19) more dribbles than any other player in the 2024/25 WSL; the Brazilian recorded 14 dribbles against Chelsea last time out, the most by a player in a WSL game in exactly five years.

WHERE WE CAN IMPROVE

Speaking in his pre-match press conference, Skinner was exciting about the development of his young squad. “We want to create more,” he told journalists. “I think when we came off the back of the Villa game, we went into the Leicester game and obviously then we increased that shot ratio. It’s something we’ve got to do – that we won’t hide from. We want to improve that. It’s not about being defensive about that. It’s about actually going: ‘What does it look like with the personnel that we’ve got?’ We’re still finding little connections and [learning about] where we keep the ball versus when we invade.

“We can always be braver in every game. Whether you get 20 shots, you can then try and get 25. We want to be more attacking, of course we do, and that’s something we’ll continue to look at. I’m sure we are getting back to where we want to be. I think it’s a balance between all-out attack and then having to balance the defending. So I think we’re learning. We’re going to make sure that we improve that. It’s something we looked at over the last two weeks, and we’ll continue to put it into our performances.”
