Former Manchester United defender Sergio Reguilon is on the brink of making a sensational return to football, with a transfer to Inter Miami very close to happening, according to a report. The Spaniard hasn’t tasted a minute of senior football since May, when he received a rare start for Spurs against Aston Villa. Now, a new report has claimed that Reguilon is on the verge of linking up with Lionel Messi at Inter Miami. The MLS club, owned by United legend David Beckham, Reguilon is the side’s ‘Plan A’ to replace Jordi Alba, who has retired from football alongside teammate Sergio Busquets. It’s understood that Reguilon has been “training extensively” on his own and it appears his hard work is finally paying off.
