Man United will be “offered” the chance to sign Marseille midfielder Adrien Rabiot, according to journalist Fabrizio Romano.
The Frenchman’s club have decided to sell the 30-year-old, and speaking on his YouTube channel, Romano said his representatives will be in touch with the Red Devils:
“He’s going to be offered to Manchester United and many other clubs as an opportunity for €15m/€20m, but at the moment, again, still an open situation. Let’s see what’s going to happen there.”
Rabiot has been linked on and off with a move to Old Trafford over the past few years but Man United fans on X don’t believe he would be a good addition to the squad:
He’s a problem.
Every club regrets signing him— Potatoe_Waffles🇮🇪 (@Potatoe_Waffles) August 19, 2025
He was available for free and United didn’t sign him, do you think they would pay €15-20m for a player of his age now ?

Rabiot only moved to Marseille last year
The Frenchman returned to his home country on a free transfer in September 2024, having left Juventus a couple of months earlier.
Rabiot made 31 appearances in his first season, scoring an impressive 10 goals and providing 6 assists.
A fallout with De Zerbi has prompted this latest transfer
While Rabiot started Marseille’s first game of the season against Rennes last Friday, things spiralled out of control after the 1-0 defeat.
The midfielder was originally suspended by the club for disciplinary reasons and it later emerged that head coach Roberto De Zerbi was unhappy with his commitment.
Rabiot’s mother and agent Veronique was subsequently informed that the player would be transfer-listed.
