Doors keep slamming shut for United ace as PL club distance themselves from potential transfer – report

Newcastle are reportedly not interested in a move for out-of-favour Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford despite transfer rumours.

Having been deemed surplus to requirements by Ruben Amorim, Rashford is actively looking for a new club.

Rashford was sidelined by Amorim shortly after the Portuguese coach replaced Erik ten Hag in the Old Trafford dugout.

The relationship between the pair broke down, with Amorim later acknowledging that he struggled to align Rashford with his footballing philosophy. Reports surfaced of a tense exchange at the training ground, during which Amorim allegedly confronted Rashford over his off-field behaviour.

Rashford was loaned out to Aston Villa in January in a bid to ensure his career doesn’t stagnate at United. He enjoyed a slight uptick in form under Unai Emery, scoring four goals and providing an additional six assists in 17 appearances.

But, having missed out on the Champions League following a 2-0 defeat to United on the final day of the Premier League season, Villa are unlikely to trigger the £40m option to make Rashford’s stay a permanent one.

The England international favours a move to Barcelona but those hopes seem to be teetering on the edge, as the Catalan giants work on a deal for Athletic Club’s Nico Williams.

A report covered by The Peoples Person relayed that Newcastle are admirers of Rashford and would be keen on taking him on loan for one year.

It was stated that Eddie Howe is confident that Newcastle can provide Rashford with an ideal stage to rebuild his career.

However, according to a report from ChronicleLive, there appears to be no substance to these claims.

The news outlet reveals, “I understand that there is no interest from Newcastle in Marcus Rashford despite loan stories.”

“Newcastle have a strict wage structure and wouldn’t be able or willing to go anywhere near that as they’ve shown with the Bryan Mbeumo situation.”

Rashford still has three years left on his reported £325,000 a week contract with the Red Devils.
